I wonder if people realize that in order to prepare a specimen for an electron microscope, it must be dead.
I was thinking the exact same thing as soon as I read “electron microscope.”
Edit: Just looked through the 200-some odd “notes” for this post, and exactly one of them besides Nicole and me (unless I missed something, but I don’t think so) said something about death. And that one just said “probably” was dead. Sad.
